Build an Emergency Fund

Having an emergency fund can give you peace of mind knowing that you have a financial cushion to fall back on if something unexpected happens. As a financial coach, I can help you build an emergency fund of $1,000, 3 months expenses, 6 months of expenses or more depending on your goals.

The first step to building an emergency fund is to create a budget. This will help you track your income and expenses so you can see where your money is going. Once you know where your money is going, you can start to make changes to free up more money to save. Once you have a budget, you can set a savings goal which will give you something to work towards.

Making a plan. Once you have a goal, we will create a customized plan for you to reach your goals which will include making savings automatic.  This means setting up a recurring transfer from your checking account to your savings account on a set schedule. This way, you don’t have to think about saving money, it will happen automatically.
